About Electrical & Electronics Engineering

An Electrical & Electronics engineer is a professional who conceives, designs, develops and helps produce the electrical or electronic products and systems needed by our society. Electrical & Electronics engineers work in large companies, small companies, or as individual consultants. Electrical & Electronics engineers are involved in creating and advancing high-technology world of computer, lasers, robots, communications, energy conversion and distribution, and space exploration. In addition they are responsible for a wide variety of electronic devices and systems for the home and workplace. Electrical & Electronics engineers contribute in areas as diverse as research, development, design, manufacturing, operations, sales, management, and education.

Our Mission

The overriding goal of the undergraduate Electrical & Electronics engineering program is to integrate mathematics, science engineering, and computer skills, along with communication and social skills to enhance the productivity and creativity of the engineer. Engineering design, including open-ended problems, is included throughout the curriculum and concludes with a major engineering design experience. Studies in humanities and social sciences serve not only to meet the objectives of a broad education, but also to meet the objectives of making engineers fully aware of their social responsibilities and better able to consider related factors in the decision making process.

Our Vision

The Electrical & Electronics engineering program gives each student a solid foundation in electricity, electronics, computers, communications, and systems, with individual practical experience. Upon this basic foundation the student then builds expertise in advanced areas, such as microelectronics, computers, communications, stressing actual design practice to prepare him or her for a productive and challenging engineering career.

Job Opportunities

The government and private sectors continue to offer vast job opportunities for Electrical & Electronics engineers. Especially the telecommunications sector and its related sectors keep growing and recruiting engineers in all parts of the world.
